HAIR RESTORATION POST- CARE

Avoid Touching the Treated Area
Do not touch, rub, or scratch the treated area for at least 24-48 hours after the procedure to avoid infection and irritation.

Avoid Alcohol and Blood Thinners
Refrain from drinking alcohol or using any blood-thinning medications like aspirin for at least 24 hours. This will reduce the risk of bruising at the injection sites.

Avoid Sun Exposure
Keep your scalp protected from direct sun exposure for at least 2-3 days after the treatment. Use a hat or sunscreen (if advised by your doctor) to shield your scalp from UV rays.

Avoid Hair Styling Products
For the first 48 hours, avoid using hair gels, sprays, or any other styling products that could irritate the scalp. After that, you can resume using mild, non-alcoholic products as recommended by your healthcare provider.

Avoid Strenuous Exercise
Refrain from strenuous activities, including intense exercise, heavy lifting, or any activity that causes excessive sweating, for at least 48-72 hours after the treatment.

No Heat Exposure
It's important to avoid hot environments like saunas, hot tubs, or tanning beds for at least 24-48 hours after filler treatments. Heat can increase swelling or irritation.

Wait to See Results
For PRP injections, you may start seeing results in 2-3 months, but the full effects will take 6-12 months as hair follicles begin to regenerate.
For microneedling, it can take a few weeks for the skin to fully heal, and new hair growth will start to show in 3-6 months as collagen production increases. Please follow provider guidelines on how many treatments are necessary.

Avoid Anti-Inflammatory Medications
Avoid taking steroids and anti-inflammatory medications (such as ibuprofen or aspirin) for at least 7-10 days before and 48-72 hours after your plasma-based procedure to ensure optimal results and avoid interfering with the healing process. If needed, use acetaminophen (Tylenol) for pain relief instead, as it does not affect platelet function.

Keep the Scalp Clean
Avoid washing your hair for at least 24 hours after the procedure to give the scalp time to heal. After 24 hours, wash your hair with a mild, sulfate-free shampoo using lukewarm water. Gently rinse the scalp without scrubbing or massaging the area.
