MICRONEEDLING POST- CARE

Keep Treated Area Clean!!
Refrain from touching or rubbing the treated area for at least 24 hours to avoid irritation or infection. Use a clean pillow case, wipe your phones with alcohol swap and do not let your animals lick your face.

Be Gentle with Cleansing
Use a gentle, non-foaming cleanser to wash your face for the first few days. Avoid scrubbing or exfoliating the skin, as it can cause irritation or damage.

Don’t Wear Makeup Immediately
Avoid wearing makeup for 24-48 hours after microneedling to allow the skin to breathe and heal properly. After that, use non-comedogenic makeup to minimize the risk of irritation.

Mild Redness and Swelling Are Normal
After microneedling, some redness and peeling are common and part of the healing process. You may experience a flushed, sunburn-like appearance for the first 24-48 hours, and mild peeling or flaking may occur within 2-3 days as your skin sheds dead cells and begins to regenerate. This is normal and should subside within a few days, leaving your skin smoother and more rejuvenated. Avoid picking or peeling the skin to ensure proper healing.

Avoid Active Skincare Ingredients
For 5-7 days, avoid products that contain active ingredients like retinol, AHA/BHA, vitamin C, or exfoliating acids to prevent irritation and allow your skin to heal properly.

Sun Protection is Essential
Avoid direct sun exposure for at least 7-10 days after your treatment. The skin will be more sensitive, and sun exposure can lead to hyperpigmentation. Apply SPF 30 or higher daily to protect your skin from UV damage.

Avoid Facials and Massages
For at least 2 weeks, avoid facials, facial massages, or any treatments that could irritate the treated areas to allow for proper healing.

Contact us with any concerns
Attend any recommended follow-up appointments to assess your skin’s progress and determine if additional treatments are necessary. Generally. we recommend a series of three, one every 30 days.

Avoid Strenuous Exercise
Avoid intense physical activities for at least 24-48 hours after your microneedling treatment. Exercise and sweating can increase the risk of infection and irritation, as well as disrupt the healing process, so it’s best to let your skin recover without added stress.

No Heat Exposure
For 48 hours, avoid hot showers, saunas, steam rooms, or vigorous exercise to minimize the risk of irritation or excessive sweating, which can affect healing or cause infection.

Wait to See Results
Microneedling is a gradual process, and it may take 3-5 days for initial improvements to become noticeable. Full results, including improved texture and collagen production, can take up to 4-6 weeks as the skin continues to heal and regenerate. The results can last several months, depending on factors like skin type and the number of treatments you undergo.
