PRE-TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS -If you're pregnant or breastfeeding, it's a no-go. -If you have a big event in the next 2 weeks, consider postponing to avoid potential bruising. -Skip herbal supplements like Ginko, garlic, flax oil, Vitamin A & E, green tea, aspirin, and anti-inflammatories for a week before and after. Talk to your doctor before stopping any medication. -Cut out caffeine and cigarettes 48 hours before your treatment. -Boost the longevity of your treatment by considering zinc supplements for up to 4 days prior. -Some might experience a mild headache or flu-like symptoms, especially with the first treatment. -Avoid treatment with any active illnesses. -Unintended muscle effects can happen, but it's usually tied to how the injection is done or if it's the right fit for the person. POST-TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS -No downtime. You can resume normal activity immediately but you may have Injection site swelling and redness. That typically goes away in approximately 30 minutes -If you're sore, feel free to use Tylenol. -Steer clear of touching the treated area, wearing a hat, or lying down for 4 hours after. -Take it easy with heavy lifting or intense exercise for the next 24 hours. -Hold off on other facial treatments like facials or massages for at least 2 weeks. -Results may take a couple of days to fully show up. If you're not seeing what you wanted after 2 weeks, additional injections might be on the table, with charges for the product used. -If your upper lip was treated you may not be able to drink through a straw, whistle, or enunciate some words for approximately 2 weeks.
