THINGS TO
KNOW

PRE-TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS -If you're pregnant or breastfeeding, it's a no-go. -If you have a significant event in the next 2 weeks, think about postponing to avoid potential bruising. Expect swelling/bruising for 2 weeks. -Avoid dental procedures such as cleanings or vaccines for 2 weeks prior to your filler treatment. Avoid treatment with any active illnesses -Skip herbal supplements like Ginko, garlic, flax oil, Vitamin A & E, green tea, aspirin, and anti-inflammatories for a week before and after. Check with your doctor before stopping any medication. -Cut out caffeine and cigarettes 48 hours before your treatment. -Arnica supplements can help prevent bruising. -Postpone your treatment if you have an active rash or cold sore on the area being treated.

POST-TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS -No downtime. You can resume normal activities immediately, but expect some swelling, redness and possible bruising. -If you're sore, you can take Tylenol or use a cool compress. -Avoid touching or manipulating the filler post-treatment. -Go easy on heavy lifting or intense exercise for the next 24 hours. -Hold off on facial treatments, dental cleanings and vaccines for at least 2 weeks. -Be patient; wait at least 2 weeks before touch ups due to swelling. If what you envisioned isn't quite there after 2 weeks, additional injections can be considered, with charges for the product. -Don’t worry! If you decide it's not what you wanted, we have the option to dissolve, for additional charges

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS -How long does it last: The duration varies based on the product, injected area, and the individual. Typically, filler injections last between 6 to 12 months. Results are immediate! -Once I start can I stop: Getting dermal filler is like giving your skin a boost, but if you decide to stop, the effects will gradually wear off. It's not a permanent change—more like a choice to maintain that fresh look. The decision is yours! -How it works: When injected into the skin, dermal fillers add volume and lift to the targeted areas, reducing the appearance of wrinkles and lines. By filling in spaces and restoring lost volume, they contribute to a smoother and more youthful-looking skin. -Does it hurt: No need to worry! We use numbing cream for most areas, and the filler product also contains lidocaine. The needle is small so it's just a slight pinch when injecting! You're in good hands and we can take as many breaks as you need! -When should you start: There's no fixed age, and it ultimately depends on your personal preferences and skin concerns. We typically recommend it when you start to notice volume loss! -What’s the side effects and downtime? After getting filler, you might experience some common side effects like redness, swelling, and bruising at the injection site. These are usually temporary and can be managed with ice and over-the-counter pain relievers. Downtime is typically minimal. You can resume most of your regular activities right after the procedure, but it's advisable to avoid intense exercise, excessive sun or heat exposure, and alcohol consumption for the first 24 hours. -Possible occlusion, or blockage of blood vessels, is a RARE but serious concern with dermal fillers. Watch out for signs like sudden or severe pain, skin discoloration, or vision changes in the treated area. If you notice any of these, seek immediate medical attention.
