PRP POST- CARE

Avoid Touching the Treated Area
Refrain from pressing, massaging, or rubbing the treated area for at least 24 to 48 hours after your procedure.

Avoid Alcohol and Blood Thinners
Refrain from drinking alcohol or using any blood-thinning medications like aspirin for at least 24 hours. This will reduce the risk of bruising at the injection sites.

Avoid Facials and Massages
For at least 2 weeks, avoid facials, facial massages, or anything that could put pressure on the treated areas.

Be Aware of Possible Side Effects
Swelling, bruising, or redness may occur and is likely after the treatment, but these should resolve within a few days. If you notice persistent swelling, severe pain, or signs of infection (like increased redness or discharge), contact your healthcare provider immediately.

Avoid Strenuous Exercise
Avoid intense physical activities for at least 24-48 hours after your treatment. Rest the treated area and refrain from putting any unnecessary stress on it.

No Heat Exposure
Avoid both heat and ice-such as hot environments like saunas, hot tubs, or tanning beds, as well as icing- for at least 24-48 hours after treatment.

Wait to See Results
PRP injections under the eyes stimulate collagen production and improve skin texture over time. Full results can be seen in a few weeks as the skin becomes firmer, smoother, and more rejuvenated. Effects typically last from 6 to 12 months, depending on individual factors and number of treatments. We generally recommend a series of three, one every 30 days.

Avoid Anti-Inflammatory Medications
Avoid taking steroids and anti-inflammatory medications (such as ibuprofen or aspirin) for at least 7-10 days before and 48-72 hours after your plasma-based procedure to ensure optimal results and avoid interfering with the healing process. If needed, use acetaminophen (Tylenol) for pain relief instead, as it does not affect platelet function.

Don’t Wear Makeup Immediately
Gently cleanse your face using a mild, non-abrasive cleanser. Try to avoid applying makeup to the area for at least 24 hours to reduce the risk of irritation or infection.
