Both Daxxify vs Botox are neuromodulators — they work by temporarily relaxing the muscles that cause expression lines, like the ones between your brows, across your forehead, and around your eyes. Daxxify is formulated to last a little longer than traditional Botox for most people, which means fewer appointments per year. Beyond that, the two are more similar than different, and the right choice usually comes down to your goals, your history with neuromodulators, and how your body responds.

How they're different

Longevity.  Botox typically lasts three to four months. Daxxify is formulated with a peptide-based technology that helps it bind to the target muscle which can allow it to last longer. If you're tired of being back in the chair every twelve weeks, that's a meaningful difference. Every client is different and results may vary.

Formulation. Botox uses a well-established protein formula that's been in use for decades. Daxxify uses a different, peptide-based stabilizer instead of the human or animal-derived proteins used in most traditional neuromodulators — worth knowing if that's a consideration for you.

Onset. Both typically start showing results within a few days to a week, with full effect visible around the two-week mark. Neither is dramatically faster than the other.

Botox tends to be a good fit if you're newer to neurotoxins and want to start with the most established, longest-studied option, you prefer a lower per-visit cost even if it means more frequent appointments, or you've had great results with Botox in the past and don't have a reason to switch.

Neither is "better" across the board — they're different tools for slightly different priorities. A lot of clients actually try both over time to see which they personally prefer.

What to expect at your appointment
